AirEvents, originally founded in 1998, is specialised in various kinds of flights, tours and events for the aviation enthusiast.
Since 2007, we have also been organizing annual sightseeing flights to the Arctic, up to the North Pole, using the brand AirEvents Polar Flights.
In 2015, the AirEvents Flight Academy joined our regular product range.
Air Berlin is no longer – what’s next?
As you all know, in 2017, unfortunately, our longtime partner airline Air Berlin has ceased operations, forcing us to temporarily stop our North Pole flights and the Flight Academy. However, we are proud to announce that we have already found a new flight Partner, Germania, for short- and medium-haul trips, and possibly also for the Flight Academy. In addition, we are working hard on bringing back our North Pole flights and are optimistic to find a new operator soon.
Sightseeing flights and other tours
Whenever opportunities arise, we organize pleasure flights with rare aircraft or other kinds of sightseeing flights, for instance over the Alps. Past tours include farewell flights from Berlin or Cologne/Bonn with Iran Air’s Boeing 747SP or Syrian Air’s Boeing 727-200, or the first ever A330 landing in Berlin-Tempelhof. A regular option is a flight on a VIP Cessna Citation Jet between Dusseldorf and Luxembourg.
The Polar region and the North Pole itself belong to the most remote and undiscovered regions on earth. It was under enormous stresses and strains that discoverers tried to withstand the harsh climate up here and reach the Pole – often with dramatic consequences.
Not all of us have the time or money to travel through the Arctic, possibly up to the Pole, by ground transport means. In our product line “Polar Flights” we offer you selected special flights and trips to the Arctic and Pole.
Our new, fascinating seminar, consisting of a Q&A session with a pilot, a visit to the airline’s technical facilities and an exciting sightseeing flight.
We hope you like our website and look forward to welcoming you on our flights!
